we know talking about money stuff is no fun, but it’s a major reality in the effort to get tippi to america. adoption will cost nearly $40,000, and while the sheffers have applied for the handful of grants available to them — it won’t be enough. that’s why friends of thomas + mandy created this marketplace. one hundred percent of the proceeds go directly to tippi’s adoption fund. we hope you find something that speaks to you.
☼ 10.12.21 update ☼
We can barely believe we are writing this, but in just over six weeks of fundraising we have raised over $30,000 via our Reece’s Rainbow Family Sponsorship Page ($20,000 as of today, with an additional $10,000 matching donation on its way). Grateful is not a strong enough word for the immense love and support we have been shown. Thank you a million times over.
The $30K we have raised it is truly a life changing gift for our family. Reese’s Rainbow will transfer those funds directly to our adoption agency and will cover the majority of our adoption related expenses once our dossier has been sent.
We are now moving our marketplace fundraiser over to Venmo/our personal PayPal to cover the few adoption expenses they are not able to cover and as a stretch goal, to help pay for the immediate medical care and needs Tippi will have when she arrives home.
